Remote Village Infrastructure
NAFA supports infrastructure development in selected remote villages.
Allocations have included:
- water infrastructure
- micro-hydro electricity that brings electricity to homes, local schools and newly created small businesses
- improved cooking stoves that use less wood and reduce smoke in homes
- bio-gas
- solar panels
- agricultural cooperative infrastructure including training, the introduction of higher value crops and animals, a hi-tech nursery, a permanent marketplace for several villages and other income-earning initiatives for particularly disadvantaged members of the cooperative
- oil/grinding mills
